Introduction

We cannot evoke Mongolia without speaking about Chinggis Khan, "the man of the millennium" according to Times Magazine, who founded the largest contiguous empire of the history. What is the secret of the incredible success of this little boy, born in the Mongolia remote steppes, who conquered the largest part of the world known at that period?
We invite you to join us to track the life of Chinggis Khan, by visiting his birth place, the steppe where he was born and spent his childhood. We shall try to understand which role this natural environment played in his desire of conquests: The immensity of Khan Khentii mountain range which shelters rare animals (moose, brown bear and musky deer), the luxurious landscapes of the Onon Balj Natural Reserve, situated in the confluences of the river Onon and Balj probably had a strong influence on little boy, Temujin, who grew-up in this imposing environment. We shall finally go, during this journey, to discover the sacred mount Burkhan Khaldun, only possible place, according to some scientists, where can be find the tomb of Chinggis Khan. It is true that the hillock situated on the side of Burkhan Khaldun does not appear natural and let think that it could hide some a grave. It murmurs that a team of American archaeologists has forced to stop suddenly its research near Burkhan Khaldun, by the interdiction of Mongolian government.  As it is forbidden henceforth to make the ascent of the mount Burkhan Khaldun  . Let's stay careful and open well our ears during this journey, because we shall hear numerous mysterious stories about this sacred place.
